Baptisms & Weddings

Baptism

We welcome enquiries about Baptism at All Saints.  Baptisms usually take place on the third Sunday of the month during the main 10am Parish Eucharist.  The service lasts just over an hour. Visiting children are welcome to join the Sunday School or to make use of the children’s play area in the south aisle.

If you are thinking about Baptism for your child, we suggest that you join us for the 10am service one Sunday to see whether you think you could feel at home in our community.

We can then arrange for you to have a meeting with one of the parish clergy either at the vicarage or at your home.  Baptism is about welcoming someone (of any age) into the fullness of life in the Church and so demands an engagement with the life of faith.  If you have any questions please contact Fr. Phil on 01273 733331.

Thanksgiving for the Gift of a child

If you feel that you’re not ready to take the step of Baptising your child but would like to give thanks and introduce them into the church community, there is the option of a service of thanksgiving for the gift of a child.  This is a way of welcoming the child into the world and into the church community without making a commitment to become a full member of the Church.  If you would like to know more please contact Fr. Phil on 01273 733331.

Weddings

The size and beauty of All Saints make it a popular choice for weddings, and we welcome enquiries about them.  If you would like to consider getting married at All Saints, we encourage you both to come and worship with us one Sunday morning at 10am.  This will give you a sense of what the building is like as a place of worship.  Following this we would arrange a meeting with one of the parish clergy so that we can talk about the  service and your requirements.  Please contact Fr. Phil on 01273 733331.
